Caregiver Cultivation Information
The MED is responsible for maintaining caregiver cultivation (grow sites) and plant count information through the Caregiver Registry System (CGRS), in addition to licensing and regulating Colorado marijuana businesses and their employees.
Per statute, the MED “shall verify the location of a primary caregiver cultivation operation to a local government or law enforcement agency upon receiving an address-specific request for verification.” Local law enforcement and government officials researching a caregiver cultivation address may email the MED (cgrscultivationregistration@state.co.us) for assistance in looking up a caregiver cultivation location. Please provide an address with a street number and name, a city name, and a zip code.
MED is authorized to provide the following information on a confirmed caregiver cultivation location in response to an address-specific request:
- Last name
- First name
- Caregiver number
- Caregiver type(s): Cultivating or Transporting
- Grow site information: If multiple we provide all relevant grow site addresses and related info
- Address line 1
- Address line 2
- City
- County
- Zip
- Number plants at site or ounces if Transporter
- Date of last update: pertains to the date fields included on the card were last updated
Note that law enforcement officers with access to CCIC may query the Registry (through the QMMP query) without MED’s assistance. After stopping or arresting an individual, law enforcement officers may also contact the Medical Marijuana Registry (MMR) of the CO Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to request patient registry details or demographic information on a caregiver registry.
